Michael Keaton is Making a Major Comeback on HBO
I miss seeing Michael Keaton make good, solid movies. The guy has always been a great actor, and I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden he just stopped starring in films. Why did Hollywood stop casting him in lead roles? It sucks to see such a talented guy being thrown bit cameo type roles here and there. Keaton needs to be involved with some great projects, and it looks like it's going to happen!
HBO and Keaton have just entered into a big production deal where he will be able to executive produce, direct and star in projects for the cable network. HBO's Michael Lombardo had this to say,
Michael Keaton is a multifaceted talent who never fails to engage the audience in fresh ways. We're thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with him.
Keaton himself had this to say about the collaboration,
When you look at the overall landscape out there and see what's getting done, you realize it's not only the types of things HBO is doing, but how extraordinarily well they do them. The question really becomes, why would you not want to be in business with these folks when they ask?
There are no details on any of the projects Keaton will be working on, so it will be cool to see what he ends up doing with the network. I'm just happy he's going to be making a comeback. Hopefully this will open doors for him to get back into some major motion pictures. The last film we saw him in was The Other Guys, which he was great in.
