Movie Trailer for CARS 2

Disney and Pixar has released a new full trailer for their upcoming film Cars 2, which looks like a CGI animated James Bond film with cars, and it actually doesn't look too bad. I was never a big fan of the first Cars film, it was definitely one of the weakest Pixar films. I was kind of surprised when I heard they were making a sequel. I think it's just hard for me to get into talking cars. But, like always the animation looks great!

It looks like they've taken these small time heroes and thrust them into the international world of spy versus spy. It definitely seems like a much bigger film than the first one, with a ton more action. But will it have the same heart that the first film had? John Lasseter got back in the drivers seat for this film and co-directed it with Brad Lewis

In the film, Michael Caine plays a British intelligence agent who intersects with Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) and Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) as they take part in the first World Grand Prix. I do think it's awesome they got Mr. Caine in the film.

Synopsis:

Star racecar Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) and the incomparable tow truck Mater (voice of Larry the Cable Guy) take their friendship to exciting new places in Cars 2 when they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world’s fastest car. But the road to the championship is filled with plenty of potholes, detours and hilarious surprises when Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage.  Torn between assisting Lightning McQueen in the high-profile race and towing the line in a top-secret spy mission, Mater’s action-packed journey leads him on an explosive chase through the streets of Japan and Europe, trailed by his friends and watched by the whole world. Adding to the fast-paced fun is a colorful new all-car cast that includes secret agents, menacing villains and international racing competitors.

Watch the trailer for the film below and tell us what you think! The film open up in theaters on June 24th 2011.
