THE MUPPETS Is getting a lot of Cameos

Everyone loves The Muppets, so it's no surprise that the new film is going to going to be packed full of cameos. It's being reported that Alan Arkin, Jack Black, Billy CrystalJean-Claude Van Damme and the previously-announced Zach Galifianakis are going to take on cameo roles in the film.

The James Bobin directed film stars Jason Segel, Amy Adams, Chris Cooper, Rashida Jones, with more cameos by Paul Rudd, Ed Helms, Lady Gaga, Danny Trejo and Donald Glover.

Arkin is going to play a tour guide while Black will play a kidnap victim. Obviously Galifianakis is taking on the role of a hobo.

The story is loosely based on a original idea from Jim Henson called The Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made, where Gonzo is hired to direct a film, but winds up blowing his entire budget on the first day. From there, he's forced to finish the picture without any money but with the help of his Muppet friends.

The Muppets is currently shooting for a December 25, 2011 release.
