Christian Slater Will Be BREAKING IN Mid-Season On Fox

Breaking In has officially been picked up by Fox for a seven-episode mid-season run. Fox and Sony Pictures TV have been in negotiations on this deal for several weeks now. Christian Slater will star in the single-camera workplace comedy that is rumored as a possible replacement for Fox's lackluster comedy Running Wilde, which does not look likely to receive a back order.
The show will likely become part of Fox's upcoming midseason schedule. Breaking In, which is produced by Sony TV and Happy Madison Productions, takes place at a digital security firm. Adam F. Goldberg wrote and executive produced the pilot, which was directed/exec produced by Seth Gordon. The show has tested well so far, creating a good buzz, but was too late to be picked up at Fox in May.
Fox gave the show an order for two additional scripts, which led to Sony TV's decision to extend the options on the cast. The cast is led by Slater and features Reaper star Bret Harrison. This show pickup means that Sony TV will now have a comedy series on each of the Big 4 broadcast networks: Mr. Sunshine and Happy Endings on ABC, veteran Rules of Engagement and midseason entry Mad Love on CBS, sophomore Community on NBC and Breaking In on Fox.
