Hans Zimmer will Score Zack Snyder's SUPERMAN

Composer Hans Zimmer will be creating the musical score for Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman film! Thompson on Hollywood had a chance to talk to Zimmer at a DVD/Blu-ray release party for Inception, where he revealed the news. For those of you who didn't know, Zimmer came up for the powerful musical score for Inception and The Dark Knight Returns. According to the site:

On Jan. 1 he starts scoring Chapter 4 in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, which shot months ago in Hawaii.  He’ll follow that with the Sherlock Holmes sequel, a Kung Fu Panda follow-up; then he’ll work on Nolan’s new Superman chapter.

So you can all bet your asses that the musical score to Superman is going to be amazing! It was also revealed that Christopher Nolan has fully handed off the Superman film to Snyder. Nolan will not be involved with the Superman film much once the screenplay is completely polished. He's going to put all of his concentration on The Dark Knight Rises from here on out. According to Nolan's wife,

Nolan and David Goyer just had an idea they couldn't believe wasn't being explored by Warner Bros.  And with Zack Snyder now on board as director, Nolan will be busy making "The Dark Knight Rises" and "we are handing it off to him."  So, take note anyone out there thinking this will be a strange Nolan/Snyder partnership.  Thomas reiterated that they brought it to an appropriate screenplay and it's now Snyder's picture.

So there ya have it folks! The new Superman film has got a great composer, a solid interesting story, and a director that will make it all look good.

The Superman is scheduled to come out in December 2012.
