Showtime to Give DEXTER a Sixth Season!

For those of you who are watching Dexter, it probably won't surprise you that Showtime is going to give the awesome series a sixth season!

I guess it's just comforting to know that the story of Dexter will movie forward. This last Sunday the show had it's second highest ratings ever. 2.5 million people tuned in to watch Dexter rid the world of evil. That's 43% higher than the fifth season premiere, which pretty much means that the upcoming season finale on December 12th is going to set a new viewership record.

In 2008, Showtime confidently renewed Dexter for two seasons. That's not likely to happen this time, since key talent deals will need to be renegotiated before the show's seventh season. Expect the offical Dexter renewal within the next week or so.

I really hope they bring Julia Styles back for season six. I love the character and she adds a whole new dynamic to the show that needs to be explored further.
