12-year old Thomas Horn has been chosen to star in a lead role alongside Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock by director Stephen Daldry for his upcoming film Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.

Horn will star as Oskar Schell a bright young 9-year old who loses his father during the World Trade Center terror attack. Oskar finds a key in his fathers belongings and embarks on a journey to find out what the key unlocks and to find meaning after his loss. Eric Roth wrote the script based on the novel by Jonathan Safran Foer for Warner Bros and producer Scott Rudin.

Daldry chose Horn after he made national headlines in October after his appearance on Jeopardy! where he won first place winning $31,800 in prize money. Since then, Horn has signed with ICM which reps stars like Abigail Breslin, Hailee Steinfeild and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
