Looks Like Mark Wahlberg Might Not end up Starring in UNCHARTED Movie

Last month it was reported that Mark Wahlberg was set to play Nathan Drake in the upcoming David O' Russell directed video game adapted film Uncharted: Drakes Fortune. Wahlberg confirmed himself that he was going to star in the film, but now it looks like that might no be the case. So is there a chance that Nathan Fillion could be cast? I sure hope so!

In a recent interview with Joystiq, the director of the video game, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, Justin Richmond, talks about some of the news and rumors that have been circulating about the movie.

Richmond pretty much laughed them off, saying,

First of all, all that stuff was denied by David O. Russell. He actually called us up and was like, ‘I don’t know what these guys are talking about.

He went on to reveal that the casting for the lead role in the film was nowhere near being official. So as of right now Wahlberg is not officially confirmed for the role. Now even though he's not confirmed doesn't mean he won't end up getting the role. It's safe to say that he's definitely in the running. But it also means Nathan Fillion has a chance to get the part! That makes me happy.
