New Trailer and Poster for Gervais and Merchant's CEMETERY JUNCTION

Here's the first actual trailer for Cemetery Junction, the new comedy from writer-directors Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. The first teaser featured Gervais and Merchant introducing the film and and one of its stars, Ralph Feinnes, but contained no actual footage -- but it was hilarious nevertheless.

The new trailer however, gives us a very good look at what appears to be a much more serious coming-of-age film than the filmmakers have let on. The film stars Christian Cooke, Felicity Jones, Ricky Gervais, Ralph Fiennes, Emily Watson, Matthew Goode, Tom Hughes, and Jack Doolan.

Set in 1970's England, Cemetery Junction follows the lives of three working-class friends trapped in a small town. When one of them – Freddie (Cooke) – gets a new job as a door-to-door salesman and bumps into his childhood sweetheart Julie (Jones), the clan must make decisions that will change their lives forever.

The poster up top and the trailer debuted on Yahoo!, but I have no idea why the poster is of such low resolution. The music in the trailer easily makes up for it though (you'll see).

Cemetery Junction will hit theaters in the UK on April 7th. No word on the US release as of yet.

Check out the trailer and let us know what you think!
