Have you ever seen a direct to DVD movie and wonder why it never made it to theaters? I watch these kinds of films all the time, some of them don't deserve a theatrical release others make me wonder why it didn't get one, especially when they have a great group of actor starring in the film.
Lionsgate has a new movie coming out on DVD on April 20th called Peacock, and it stars Ellen Page (Juno), Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later, Batman) and Susan Sarandon (The Lovely Bones). Just because these films go strait to DVD doesn't mean there bad, most of the time it does though. But with a cast like this I just don't see how you can go wrong.
The story follows John Skillpa, a quiet bank clerk living in tiny Peacock, Nebraska, prefers to live an invisible life. This might have to do with John's secret: he has another personality no one knows about, a woman who each morning does his chores and cooks him breakfast before he starts his day. Then, in a moment, everything changes.
The film definitely has an interesting concept. I guess we'll have to wait and see how it turns out.
