Neil Marshall to Produce GHOST OF SLAUGHTERFORD

I don't know about you but if you happen to move into a town or village called Slaughterford then you're just asking for trouble. Never move into a town with Slaughter in the name if you don't want to be murdered, it's just common sense.

Director Neil Marshall director of The Decent, Dog Soldiers, and the upcoming Centurion film is serving as executive producer on a new British horror thriller called Ghost of Slaughterford. He's brought on Ian D. Fleming to direct the movie. Fleming served as Marshall's second-unit director on his latest film Centurion.

The story follows a recently widowed novelist who retreats to a rented mansion in the village of Slaughterford to compose a new novel. She is met by local residents, who all warn her against staying in the house, but she resolves to stay before encountering a ghost. But the locals become the ones to fear.

It sounds like the film has a few different elements that Alfred Hitchcock and Roman Polanski liked to play with their movies. I love a good ghost story, throw some crazy local residents into the mix and you could have yourself a fun little horror film.

The movie is still in the early stages of production, but the movie is expected to start shooting in June.
