TONY STARCH - Iron Man Mr. Potato Head

We all know that the merchandise for big blockbuster films can get a little out of hand, are often times tacky, and/or look flat out ridiculous. But that stuff isn't for us. While we spend the big bucks on the meticulously detailed, life-like works of art from Sideshow Collectibles, the kiddies are left to play and break the toys that barely resemble the onscreen characters... "that's how Dad did it, that's how America does it... and it's worked out pretty well so far."

In comes the Iron Man 2 themed Mr. Potato Head, cleverly named, Tony Starch. 

So while some may grip about this, and sure, I haven't owned a Mr. Potato Head in years, I will say that their movie themed Potato Heads always make me smile when I see them.

This is the cheesy merchandise that embraces the fact that it's cheesy merchandise. I'll gladly display this on my desk, instead of some of the awful crafted Iron Man toys (amidst some gems) you can see over at Cool Toy Review -- most notable Mickey Rourke's Whiplash looking like a crazy shirtless rapist.
