Freaks and Geeks' Feig and Apatow reteaming for untitled Kristen Wiig Comedy

For those of you still heartbroken over the tragically premature cancellation of Freaks and Geeks, a reunion of sorts will be taking place with series creator Paul Feig and executive producer, writer and director Judd Apatow reteaming for a Universal's untitled wedding-themed comedy starring SNL's Kristen Wiig.
Wiig has worked with both before, with a bit role in Feig's Unaccompanied Minors and the scene stealing role in Apatow's Knocked Up.
Apatow will produce the untitled Universal comedy through his Apatow Prods. banner, with Feig helming the pic from a script by Wiig and newcomer Annie Mumolo about two women battling to plan their friend's wedding party.
Feig will also served as exec producer with Wiig and Mumolo co-producing with Barry Mendel.
I'm all for Wiig finally taking the lead role in a film, even if she is the one who wrote it. I'm surprised that it has took this long with all of her standout supporting roles.
I'm not all that psyched on a female centered comedy about weddings, but in my opinion Wiig and her SNL alums Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are the funniest females on the planet right now. Casting for the opposite female role hasn't been announced, so maybe there can be a reunion trifecta!
