M.Night's THE LAST AIRBENDER Super Bowl Trailer

I actually thought the first teaser teaser trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender was pretty cool. I was impressed with what I saw, but this new Super Bowl TV Spot simply blew me away. This movie looks so freakin awesome! And this is coming from a guy that has had his share of Shyamalan bashing. I've not been his biggest supporter lately because his last few films have sucked. But The Last Airbender looks pretty fantastic and I'm happy with what it looks like he's done with it. Were still not sure how the script and story are, but visually it looks great! I honestly don't know how you can screw up the story for Avatar: The Last Airbender, so I assume this is going to be a solid movie all the way around.

The movie is based on the popular animated Nickelodeon TV series which is actually a really good show in itself. Here's The story synopsis:

The film is set in a world where human civilization is divided into four nations: Water, Earth, Air and Fire. The Fire Nation is waging a ruthless, oppressive war against the other three nations. The film’s hero, the reluctant young Aang (Noah Ringer), is the “Last Airbender” — the Avatar who, according to prophecy, has the ability to manipulate all of the elements and bring all the nations together. Aided by a protective teenage Waterbender named Katara (Nicola Peltz) and her bull-headed brother Sokka, Aang proceeds on a perilous journey to restore balance to their war-torn world. Dev Patel plays the Fire Nation’s evil prince Zuko. Exiled from the Fire Nation by his father, Zuko is sent to capture the Avatar in order to restore his honor and right to the throne.

The Last Airbender looks like is going to be a blast to watch. It looks like Shyamalan is back in the game, and has another hit film on his hands. Check out this awesome trailer below and tell us what you think!
