Sam Worthington Cast in TEXAS KILLING FIELDS
Sam Worthington is one of those actors that came out of nowhere to become a very successful actor. I don’t think he’ll ever have to worry about finding another job again. He’s currently in talks to star in a new crime thriller called Texas Killing Fields.
The film is based on a true story about a pair of police officers who undertook to solve two decades of disappearances and homicides -- totaling as many as 60 victims -- in the industrial wastelands surrounding Gulf Coast refineries.
Worthington will play the local homicide detective who works with a New York transplant to wage a war against the unknown but fierce killers. This definitely sounds like it has the makings of an epic crime thriller. I find stories like this really interesting and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how the movie turns out.
The film is being directed by Michael Mann’s daughter Ami Canaan Mann. Of course her dad is producing the film that was written by Donald F. Ferarone. The movie is set to star shooting this April in Louisiana.
