Michael Chiklis to Play Superhero Dad in new ABC TV Pilot NO ORDINARY FAMILY

TV Michael Chiklis by Joey Paur

Michael Chiklis is best known for his role as the bad bad-ass cop Vic Mackey in The Shield, he's also known for his role in the FOX's Fantastic Four comic book films, as The Thing. Now in a new TV pilot he will play a superdad in a superhero drama on ABC called No Ordinary Family.

The new potential TV series is definitely in the same vein as Pixar's The Incredibles. In the show Chikis plays the father of an American super family who all have special abilities. No Ordinary Family was written by Greg Berlanti (Eli Stone) and Jon Feldman (Tru Calling) and comes from ABC Studios.

I'm definitely interested to see what ABC has up their sleeve for a show like this. I imagine it can't be any worse than NBC's Heroes has turned out to be. I like Chiklis as an actor, so I hope it turns out being a good show.
