According to several news outlets actor Corey Haim has passed away. From the reports it looks like it was an accidental prescription drug overdose. Sources say Haim got out of bed just before 1 AM and collapsed in front of his mother. She called 911 at 12:53 AM and Corey was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:15 AM. He was 38 years old.
Haim is best know as being a 1980's teen heartthrob who starred in some classic 80's films such as Silver Bullet, Lucas, The Lost Boys, License to Drive, and most recently was in the film Crank: High Voltage.
It sucks reporting this kind of news. As you all know he's had a really tough time battling drugs through most of his life. According to TMZ, Haim had been in and out of rehab over a dozen times, but had recently cleaned up.
Our hearts and prayers go out to his friends and family.
