Steven Spielberg shopping around Jackie Kennedy Biopic

Steven Spielberg is currently out and about Hollywood trying to shop around a script that revolves around Jackie Kennedy. Spielberg will not direct the film but he will most definitely be producing it. The script, called Jackie, was written by Noah Oppenheim former producer of the Today show.

The story examines the days immediately following the assassination of John F. Kennedy from Jackie Kennedy's point-of-view. The film will most likely follow the First Lady through JFK's funeral, her marriage to Aristotle Onassis and might even move into her editing career.

It's looking like HBO is going to get their hands on this little project, and chances are it will end up airing on the great cable network. As you know, HBO and Spielberg have a very strong relationship. They are currently airing his mini series The Pacific.

While the Kennedys have been covered both on film and TV including documentaries, this is a definitely a perspective that we really have not yet seen.
