Casting Roundup: Juno Temple - Dirty Girl and Goodnight Moon, Kellan Lutz - War of the Gods, Emma Stone - The Help

British-born actress Juno Temple (Greenberg, Year One, Atonement) has become the in demand indie-actress, booking three roles for indie-projects in the past month. Earlier this month we reported that Temple had replaced Ellen Page, joining Olivia Thirlby who replaced the once cast Alison Pill, in the werewolf film Jack & Diane, the sensual non-horror film from writer-director Bradley Rust Grey which will begin shooting in late May in New York. 

THR reports that she has two other films she is set to star in before Jack & Diane. Temple has joined the ensemble cast of theKiller Filmsdrama Dirty Girl, from writer-director Abe Sylvia. Temple will play the title character, a notorious high school slut who runs away with her closeted gay class partner to drive from Oklahoma to California to find the father she's never met. She joins the already set cast of Milla Jovovich, William H. Macy, Dwight Yoakam and Mary Steenburgen.

Temple will then star opposite AnnaSophia Robb (Race To Witch Montain) in the drama Goodnight Moon, from writer-director Elgin James. The film centers on two young girls who find themselves in trouble after they run away to Los Angeles. Goodnight Moon begins shooting next month.

Kellan Lutz (Twilight, Nightmare on Elm Street) has joined the cast of Relativity Media's Greek mythology clash War of the Gods, which is being directed by Tarsem Singh (The Fall, The Cell) from the most recent draft of the script by Jason Keller. War of the Gods follows a young warrior Theseus who leads his men into battle with the immortal Greek gods to defeat evil and the powerful elder gods of the Titans in order to save mankind.

Variety reports Lutz will star opposite Henry Cavill (The Tudors), who is playing Theseus, Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire) has been cast as Phaedra, an oracle priestess who must join Theseus on his quest to prevent the cataclysmic war from erupting, Mickey Rourke will play the part of King Hyperion, the ruler of Ancient Greece who does battle with the divines. Lutz will play Poseidon, lord of the sea. 

Universal will distribute War of the Gods, which will begin filming in April.

Emma Stone (Zombieland, Superbad) is in very early negotiations to play one of the lead roles in Dreamworks Studios' bigscreen adaptation of Kathryn Stockett's best-selling tome The Help, which is being written and directed by Tate Taylor, a childhood friend of Stockett's.

The Help is set in early 1960's Jackson, Mississippi, and explores how the unspoken code of behavior governing Southern households is shattered when an aspiring writer interviews a maid, who speaks candidly about her experiences. The interview sets off shock waves that reverberate across the entire community.

Variety reports Stone is in talks for the role of Skeeter, the writer.
