Shrek Director Andrew Adamson to Direct Original Film idea FOUNTAIN CITY

Movie by Joey Paur

New Zealand director Andrew Adamson and writer Joby Harold have sold an original fantasy-adventure film idea to Lightstream. It's always nice to hear when a studio picks up an original idea, it means there's still hope and that there are people willing to give original ideas a shot instead of remaking and rebooting everything that's ever been made.

The film will be called Fountain City. Adamson has been set to direct the film and Harold who came up with the idea, will write it. The storyline for the film is being kept under wraps, but the budget has been set for more than $100 million dollars so it's gonna be a big one. Just assume it will be in 3D.

Adamson directed the first Shrek film and wrote and directed Shrek 2. He went on to direct Disney's The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Let's hope his original idea is freakin amazing so Hollywood won't be so reluctant on making them.
