GREEN LANTERN Costume Concept Art

Artist Jason Palmer worked on providing concept art for the upcoming Warner Bros. films, The Green Lantern and Jonah Hex. He recently posted an image of some concept art he provided to the WB of Ryan Reynolds in a Green Lantern costume.

Here is what he had to say about the image above and the work he did for Green Lantern.

I did some work for the upcoming Green Lantern movie. I can’t show the submitted art, but this is some extra art I did as a cover to the submission pdf, but was strangely not included in the submission. Oh well. For this art, I didn’t use costume designs or Reynolds ref that was provided by WB, so I can share it with you.

So the image above did not include any designs references from the WB so this may not look anything like the costume that is in the movie. One thing we do know for sure about the costume Reynolds wears is that it really snug. Here is a quote from Reynolds talking about it.

Um, it ah snug. The costume is snug. It doesn't leave a lot, uh, it doesn't really camouflage too much. So it's going to be interesting.

I kind of hope they go with a more classic look of the costume like the image above.

What do you think about the concept art submission above?
