More Casting for PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 4

Actors Stephen Graham, Sam Claflin and Max Iron are all currently in talks to join the cast of the Rob Marshall-directed Disney film Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

You might know Steven Graham from a few film projects such as Public Enemies, Gangs of New York, Band of Brothers, but is most famously known for his role as Tommy in Guy Ritchie's Snatch. Max Irons, son of Jeremy Irons has appeared in films such as Dorian Gray and Being Julia. As for Sam Claflin, he's working on a British TV series called The Pillars of the Earth in Budapest. We know that Graham will play a character in the film called Scram.

These actors will join the already cast Johnny Depp as... well, you already know who, Ian McShane who will play Blackbeard the Pirate, and Penelope Cruz who's been cast as Blackbeard's daughter.

The fourth film is be based on the pirate novel On Stranger Tides by Tim Powers, which was optioned by Disney. The novel tells the story of Blackbeard and the Fountain of Youth. Here’s the plot of the novel:

Puppeteer John Chandagnac, bound for Jamaica to recover stolen money from his uncle, becomes Jack Shandy after pirates attack his ship and force him to join their crew. Shandy’s struggle to accept his new life grounds the story for readers, even as Blackbeard and vodun magicians whisk everyone away to dreamlike lands where the Fountain of Youth itself awaits. The chaotic sea battles sing, though at times key events happen so quickly that they get lost in the shuffle as Jack tries to comprehend where he’s going and what’s at stake.

So far the best news to come from this film is that McShane is playing Blackbeard, other than that I don't see the point of making another Pirates film, besides the fact that Disney will make a butt load of money from it.
