Comedian Aziz Ansari to Join Fleischer's 30 MINUTES OR LESS

Yesterday we reported that Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer has chosen the next film he is going to develop, a comedy called 30 Minutes or Less. Now today it looks like the lead for the film has been found. Aziz Ansari, who is best known for his role in NBC's Parks and Recreation is in negotiations to star in the film. It was also recently reported that Danny Mcbride will star in the film as well. 

The script, written by Michael Diliberti and Matthew Sullivan, revolves around a junior high history teacher played by Ansari, and a pizza-delivery man who are forced to rob a bank when one of them is strapped to a bomb vest. Mcbride is going to play one of the bad men looking to score some cash. 

So far the movie is putting together a fun cast of actors. I think Ansari is a funny dude, but he still has yet to play a really solid character in a film, maybe this is it.
