First Look at Tarsem Singh's IMMORTALS

The first images from director Tarsem Singh's Immortals have been unveiled in some behind the scenes videos that IAmRouge.com has posted. The behind the scenes videos have the director talking about the movie and some of the things he has planned for it. I definitely suggest you check them out. The pictures give us our first look a Mickey Rourke as King Hyperion, Henry Cavil as Theseus and Freida Pinto as oracle Phaedra.

Immortals follows the mythological tale of the young warrior Theseus, who leads his men into battle with the immortal Greek gods to defeat evil and the powerful elder gods of the Titans in order to save mankind.

The cast of the film also includes John Hurt, Isabel Lucas, Stephen Dorff, Luke Evans, Kellan Lutz, and Joseph Morgan. Hurt plays the earthly manifestation of the god Zeus, who acts as a mentor and teacher to the young warrior Theseus. Isabel Lucas was brought onto Immortals as Athena, the daughter of Zeus who finds her loyalty tested as the war between the gods and Titans looms. Dorff was cast as a thief named Stavros who also joins Theseus.

Tarsem talks a lot about the action and fight sequences in the film, and I absolutely love what he has planned for this movie in terms of action. Everything is going to be choreographed extremely well. There won't be a lot of editing, the fights will be solid fluid one shot takes. He will not use slow motion like Zack Snyder, these sequences will be fast hard and violent. The characters are going to have an extreme amount of strength, but they will not have super powers. They will be more like Batman rather than Superman.

There's no doubt in my mind this movie is going to look visually awesome. Check out the images below and tell us what ya think!
