Smallville's Gough and Miller to Write ABC's CHARLIE'S ANGELES

TV ABCSmallville by Joey Paur

As you may have heard ABC is developing a TV series reboot of the classic Charlie's Angels. It's a show I never had any hope for when it was first announced. Apparently ABC didn't like the direction it was going in, so they brought in former Smallville executive producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar to take over the writing duties on the Sony Pictures Television reboot. The network is developing the series for a potential pilot order and midseason launch.

The writing and producing duo replaced Josh Friedman, who initially was hired to adapt the project. This has been the only change in the production so far, but it's a pretty big change. One that actually may pay off. I think Gough and Miller are a couple talented writers, but it's still hard to get excited about a Charlie's Angeles series reboot.

the original producing team for the rebooted films, Drew Barrymre, Leonard Goldberg and Nancy Juvonen are all attached as executive producers of the TV show as well.

What do you all think about Gough and Miller coming in to write the new Charlie's Angels series?
