A few weeks ago we got word that Sony Pictures and director Marc Webb had a short list of five actors that they were looking at to cast in the role of Peter Parker in the new 3D Spider-Man reboot. Those actors included Jamie Bell, Andrew Garfield, Alden Ehrenreich, Frank Dillane, and Josh Hutcherson.
This list of potential Spider-Men just got a little longer with the addition of Kick-Ass star Aaron Johnson, and Star Trek's Anton Yelchin. These are both a couple of very talented young actors, that could easily take on the role of Peter Parker with no problem. It seems like the studio and director are going for older looking guys that what I expected. after all, this new film is supposed to be set in Parkers High School years, but most of the guys on the list don't look like they are in high school anymore.
I guess with the wonders of movie magic they can make anyone look any age they need. What do you think about Johnson or Yelchin potentially playing Spider-Man?
