Cool Green Screen Promo Teaser for SAMURAI

With technology pioneered by Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, many films have succeeded in the mainstream. Sin City, Zack Snyder's 300, the list goes on.

Now, director Jerry O'Flaherty (who worked as the art director for the Gears of War video game franchise) has created a low budget trailer showing off this technique applied to a story of an embattled samurai warrior. The film was shot over a two-day period with five actors over a white background, and the rest is digitally rendered using the Unreal 3 video game engine. The film is called Samurai, and it depicts the age old battle between "ninjas vs. samurai."

Check out the trailer and let us know if you think O'Flaherty will leave his mark on the martial arts movie genre.
