MAFIA WARS Coming to the Silver Screen

Pajiba reports that Radar Pictures has acquired the film rights to Zynga’s Mafia Wars, the Facebook/iPhone App that has delighted and annoyed countless amounts of people across the web. The game is merely a set of Mafia-related tasks players do to acquire points with no plot whatsoever, so, much like every other recent weird property-to-film adaptation, an original story will need to be created to wrap around the name.

Mafia Wars is currently being scripted by an as-yet-unnamed writer for an as-yet-unnamed director.

A film like this being in the works would have been quite surprising a few years ago, however, nothing is shocking the wake of Asteroids being optioned. Will you take a trip to the theater for Mafia Wars: The Movie?
