Marvel President Kevin Feige Confirms that Edward Norton Wont Return as The Hulk!
Earlier today I wrote up a little rant regarding Marvel replacing Edward Norton as The Hulk in The Avengers, you can read that Right Here. Now, Marvel President Kevin Feige has made an official announcement saying that Norton will in fact NOT be reprising his role as Bruce Banner, and that my friends is total bull crap! Here is the statement that he made.
We have made the decision to not bring Ed Norton back to portray the title role of Bruce Banner in the Avengers. Our decision is definitely not one based on monetary factors, but instead rooted in the need for an actor who embodies the creativity and collaborative spirit of our other talented cast members. The Avengers demands players who thrive working as part of an ensemble, as evidenced by Robert, Chris H, Chris E, Sam, Scarlett, and all of our talented casts. We are looking to announce a name actor who fulfills these requirements, and is passionate about the iconic role in the coming weeks.
I've supported Marvel through all of their movie decisions, but this is the worst one they've made so far. Not only do I feel that way, but the majority of the fanboys/fangirls out there also feel that the decision they made sucks.
So just to recap, according to Marvel Norton does not embody creativity or have the collaborative spirit of the other actors. I guess thats it. Marvel has made up their mind, and they will find a third actor to take on the role of Bruce Banner/Hulk. It should be interesting to see who ends up taking on the role. I guess we'll most likely end up finding out at Comic-Con this year, so stay tuned.
Now that it's official and set in stone... what do you all think?
