Del Rey to Publish DEUS EX: THE ICARUS EFFECT Novel

Today, Del Rey announced plans to publish a novel set within the Warren Spector-created Deus Ex universe entitled Deus Ex: The Icarus Effect at some point in 2011. The book, written by James Swallow, will apparently tie into the upcoming Deus Ex prequel, Human Revolution. 

"DEUS EX: THE ICARUS EFFECT is set in the complex and enthralling world of Deus Ex, a cyberpunk-style technological dystopia where all is not what it seems. In the not-so-distant future, the world is a place of great innovation and technological advancement... but also a place of chaos and conspiracy. In addition his novel writing, Swallow has penned scripts for both game and television. He has written for Doctor Who, Stargate, Star Trek, Killzone 2, and a few less notable projects. His resume makes him more than qualified to write something a little bit meatier than Scholastic's "Worlds of Power" series, so this should be worth picking up.
