Comic-Con: Guillermo Del Toro's HAUNTED MANSION

After the amazing Tron Legacy panel we were given another special treat from Disney.First off we were given a little snip of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow.  It wasn't bad but it didn't give us any info on what On Stranger Tides will bring us.Once that was finished, we given the great news that Guillermo Del Toro will be directing Disney's Haunted Mansion.  Before you start forming opinions, he graciously informed us that "Eddie Murphy will not be in this one.".  So, you could say that this is a reboot of the Haunted Mansion franchise.GDT told us that the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland has been his Fortress of Solitude.  When he needs to clear his head or make a big decision for a movie, the ride helps him focus.He promises us that this will be a scary movie.  He assured us that if you bring your children, "they will scream.". Even though there are no cast or crew yet in place, GDT did let us know that he does have a main ghost already chosen to lead the creepy ghouls through out the mansion.  It is a character on the ride called the Hat Box Ghost.  For those of you who don't know who he is, I will find a picture and post it for you.  Like I'm sure most of you are, I was kind of skeptical about a Haunted Mansion reboot.  However, with GDT at the helm of this film, we are more likely to get an enjoyable film.  I am excited, let us know what you think.McMurphy Out!
