First Look at Jeff Bridges in Coen Brothers TRUE GRIT

Jeff Bridges is a freakin' bad-ass! Here's our first look at him as Rooster Cogburn in the upcoming Coen Brothers adaptation of True Grit. He's sporting the awesome signature eye-patch and everything. He looks awesome in this role! Also in the photo is an image of Hailey Steinfeld as Mattie Ross. The story is told from Ross' perspective. The movie also co-stars Matt Damon, Barry Pepper and Josh Brolin.

True Grit centers on the 14-year-old tomboy Mattie Ross, who tags along with an aging U.S. marshal, Rooster Cogburn(Bridges), to track the outlaw who killed her father, and another lawman named Labeouf, looking for the same man for a seperate murder. Their odyssey takes them from Fort Smith, Arkansas, deep into the Indian Territory (present day Oklahoma) to find their man.

I love the Coen Brothers work, and I'm looking forward to seeing their vision of this story! I hope this ends up being another Coen Brothers classic.
