Jamie Bell Joins Cillian Murphy in THE RETREAT

Jamie Bell has been officially cast in a upcoming British thriller called The Retreat. He will be joining Cillian Murphy (Inception) and Thandie Newton in the film, which follows a married couple who rent a cottage on a remote island to fix their marriage. Their plans are cut short when a soldier wearing a biohazard suit washes up on the beach claiming that everyone on the mainland has been killed by a virus.

Carl Tibbets is making his directorial debut with a script he wrote. Filming is scheduled to start in Wales next month.

Bell got his start as an actor in a great little film called Billy Elliott. He was most recently one of the contenders for the role of Peter Parker in the new 3D Spider-Man reboot. He also has the title role in the Steven Spielberg/Peter Jackson collaboration The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn.

Magnet Films' Gary Sinyor is producing and David Frost is executive producer.
