Green "Horn"-et Covers by Greg Horn

Comic Book by Alan Trehern

Ok, Dynamite Entertainment, are you messing with us?  Artist Greg Horn is on board to do some predictably fantastic cover artwork for Dynamite's flagship title, Green Hornet, written by Kevin Smith.  He'll be joining the cover art team of Alex Ross and Joe Benitez.  Yep, a "cover art team".  A team of artists for the sole purpose of COVER ART.

If you're a fan of Trehern rants, you've heard me complain about this before (Ahem...check the references).  Now cover art can be really bad ass, but just like too many colors can produce an awkward gray-brown color, too many covers can snuff out the appeal of what is a really solid title.  So if you haven't checked it out yet, go check out the first couple issues of Green Hornet and have fun picking your favorite covers.

What do you guys think about cover art?  Should readers judge a book by its cover artist?  Anything nice to say about the Green Hornet title?
