Brad Bird's MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 4 Film might not be called MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE

Yesterday we reported some pretty awesome news that Jeremy Renner from The Hurt Locker was hired to play Opposite Tom Cruise in the Brad Bird directed film Mission: Impossible 4. I have a feeling that Renner is going to steal the show and the spotlight away from Cruise, which is probably what the studio wants.

Variety recently talked to some studio insiders who had some interesting information on the fourth installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise, and it involves the title. Sources say “it’s possible that the title won’t even include the familiar moniker (much as Christopher Nolan’s Batman sequel was simply titled “The Dark Knight”).”

I'm not sure why the studio would want to change the title, it's a solid brand name that will sell tickets. Changing it up could hurt them in the long run. Tom Crusie isn't what's going to sell tickets for this film, it they name that is going to bring people to the theater.
There still aren't many details regarding the story, but it was revealed that Renner will be playing a character who is of equal stature to Cruise's Ethan Hunt. Hunt will be relying on this new character. Variety goes on to say that “those familiar with the project said the story brings a fresh perspective to the action-spy franchise.”

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie, and how this all comes together!
