First Look at Ian McShane as Blackbeard in PIRATES 4

Here's our first look at actor Ian McShane as Blackbeard the Pirate in Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and he looks pretty damn good! He's perfect for this role. He is standing between Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz.

Synopsis:

In this action-packed tale of truth, betrayal, youth and demise, Captain Jack Sparrow crosses paths with a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz), and he’s not sure if it’s love–or if she’s a ruthless con artist who’s using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the Queen Anne’s Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn’t know who to fear more: Blackbeard or the woman from his past.

The movie is being directed by Rob Marshall and also stars Geoffrey Rush, Kevin McNally, Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Sam Claflin, Stephen Graham, Yuki Matsuzaki and Gemma Ward. The movie is set to open up in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D theaters on May 20th 2011.
