Warner Bros. Picks up Spec Script for Big Sci-Fi Film called EXPULSION

Hot off the success for Christopher Nolan's Inception, Warner Bros. is looking to cash in on another "big idea." So they went out and acquired a spec script for a big budget sci-fi film from author Gregg Hurwitz called Expulsion. 

The only information we have on the film is this short plot synopsis: After an act of terror destroys Earth, a small band of survivors escape to a planet beyond the solar system. 

I doesn't really sound like anything we haven't seen done before, but then we don't know all the details behind the idea.
