Nolan's List of Possible SUPERMAN Directors Revealed!
Warner Bros. new Superman reboot currently being developed by producer Christopher Nolan is getting closer to going into production, and it's at the point where he's meeting with potential directors to take on the project and bring it to life. There's a short list of directors that Nolan is seriously considering. According to Deadline one of these five directors could end up directing the next Superman film.
Tony Scott (Top Gun, Man on Fire)
Matt Reeves (Let Me In, Cloverfield)
Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles)
Duncan Jones (Moon)
Zack Snyder (300, Watchman)
If I had a say in who on this list should direct this film, I would nominate Duncan Jones. I know the guy hasn't made many films, he's currently working on his second feature film Source Code. But he's proven that he can tell a solid story with a focus on character. He's also shown what he can do with a small budget. I can only imagine what he would do with a big budget film. I think he's got the talent to knock this Man of Steel film out of the park. I would love to see Jones get his chance to show what he can really do.
Nolan will submit his choice to the studio within the next few weeks. Warner Bros and Legendary have to get the movie made by 2012, because the studio will end up losing certain rights to Superman in 2013 after a judge ruled favorably on behalf of the heirs of Superman creator Jerry Siegel.
Out of the five directors on this list who would you like to see end up directing the next Superman movie?
