Gemma Arterton Meeting with Ridley Scott to Star in ALIEN Prequels

Actress Gemma Arterton reveled in a recently interview with Digital Spy that she is going to be meeting with Ridley Scott about possibly starring in the upcoming Alien Prequels that he's planning to direct.

According to the site Scott was incredibly impressed by Arterton's performance in J. Blakeson's The Disappearance of Alice Creed. So much in fact that he wanted to meet with her for the main female role in his new films. Arterton also recently starred in The Clash of the Titans remake and Prince of Persia

Scott is planning to shoot two new Alien prequel films back-to-back, and the story will take place 30 years before the event's of what happened in the original 1979 film. He also went on to say recently that the film will be "The film will be really tough, really nasty."

I haven't seen Arterton in this film The Disappearance of Alice Creed yet, but from what I have seen her in she seems like a pretty dry actress. Sure she may look good, but I've found the roles she's played have been boring. Maybe Scott can actually push her acting abilities.

What do you all think about Arterton possibly taking on the lead female role in these Alien prequels?
