PAC-MAN Reality TV Show in Works
Yep, you read the headline right, Pac-Man is getting a reality TV show adaptation. Merv Griffin Entertainment, the company behind TV shows such as the Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, has teamed with Namco Bandai Games America to develop a reality game show based on the classic video game.
How in the hell do they plan on doing this? They will bring in contestants from all around the world and have them run through mazes while eating little dots. Okay, so that's not how the show will really play out. It's actually described as the worlds biggest game of tag. Here's the description:
The Pac-Man reality series is envisioned as big, crazy Wipeout-type event with a lot of energy," said Merv Griffin's president of TV Roy Bank. "The idea we have is to take what Pac-Man is and bring it to life, to bring what is essentially the world's biggest game of tag to television.
So this is really going to happen, huh? This is what TV has come to, reality TV shows based on 80's video games... good times. I would probably watch it if it looks anything like the picture above.
