Elijah Wood in talks to Return as Frodo in THE HOBBIT

Here's a quick little update on the cost and casting for Peter Jackson's The Hobbit.

It's been confirmed that the two Hobbit films being made will cost more than $500 million dollars to make. That's a lot of freakin' money, but I'm sure it will all be worth it.

The studio is also looking to bring in original cast members from The Lord of the Rings, we know that Ian Mckellen, Andy Serkis and Orlando Bloom have been in talks to return, but as far as we know none of them have been officially set in stone yet. Now Deadline reports that Elijah Wood is also on the list to possibly return, which would be great! It was revealed very early on that Jackson wanted to bring back as many of the original cast members as he could for the upcoming Hobbit films, so I suspect we'll see more names added to the list as well.

These actors need to be locked in soon, the film is supposed to start shooting next month.
