J.J. Abrams Bringing Pulp Fiction Type Series To TV

It has been confirmed that J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot is developing Pulp, an hour-long crime drama set in a slightly heightened reality, a-la Pulp Fiction.

Monica Breen and Alison Schapker have written the script and will serve as executive producers. They have worked with Abrams on Alias, Lost, and most recently, Fringe. They also recently oversaw Brothers & Sisters.

The series is not with a network yet, but Pulp will likely land a network deal soon.  Bad Robot will begin shopping the show to various networks beginning next week. Abrams’ is going to be running around like a chicken with it's head cut off between networks next season.  He has projects in contention at CBS (crime thriller from Jonah Nolan), Fox (the drama Alcatraz), and Odd Jobs at NBC (the comedic drama starring Michael Emerson and Terry O’Quinn).

Pulp sounds very interesting and I will likely watch it.  The shows that I am personally looking forward to seeing are Odd Jobs and Alcatraz because of the Lost alums involved.
