Incredibly Gory First Look Trailer at THE DEMONS ROOK

One thing you might not know about me yet, is that I enjoy watching low budget indy horror films. I've seen some really good ones, but I've also seen some really terrible films as well. One thing I like about these kinds of movie is that the filmmakers have limited restraints and budgets, and the have to get inventive with what they have to work with and can afford. 

A first look video has been released for a upcoming new horror film called The Demons Rook, and it looks pretty freakin' gorrific. One of the things I like about what I see here most is the fact that all the blood, gore and make-up are done using particle effects. None of the CGI stuff that has been taking over. There's something about real hand made stuff that gives these films a much more horrific and real feel to it. The movie is still in production and is being directed by Loup'Rah Garomore.

"The story follows a young boy named Roscoe who finds a portal to another world where he is taught magic by an exiled demon elder. Confined to their mystical cave, Roscoe is raised up by the demon elder in secret. Once he is discovered by three other demons, Roscoe must escape to avoid their wrath. Through desperation, he is forced to escape through the portal that leads back to our world. Unbeknownst to Roscoe, he leads the demons to discover the portal for themselves. Once the demons pass through, a nightmarish foray of summoned monsters are unleashed. One demon possesses the minds and will of all whom she crosses, another transforms a man into a murderous beast, and the other summons an army of the dead to do his bidding."
