Universal picks up tough guy script GONE by Bryan Edward Hill

Universal Pictures has picked up the tough guy screenplay Gone, written by Bryan Edward Hill. The project is being produced by Marc Platt under his Marc Platt Production banner with Christopher Pratt exec producing.

At this time there are not any plot details available. A source close to the production has described it as a "don't mess with this guy" type of movie. Universal's Exec VP of production Scott Bernstein and development exec Tara Case will oversee the project for the studio. Platt served as a producer on FilmDistrict's Drive, and insiders say Gone has a similar feel to that pic.

I loved Drive and think that there needs to be more tough guy films. Let's just hope that no one sues for a milseading trailer. What are your thoughts?
