Jim Carrey to join Steve Carell in BURT WONDERSTONE

Jim Carrey is currently in negotiations to join Steve Carell in a new comedy called Burt Wonderstone, which is set to be directed by first timer Don Scardino for New Line Cinema.

In the film Carell plays "a Las Vegas magician who breaks with his longtime stage partner and finds himself upstaged by a rival hip street magician who is stealing his thunder." Carrey will end up playing the rival magician. I'm not a big fan of Carrey these days, but it will be interesting to see the two actors play off each other on the big screen. Regarless of whos' starring in the movie, it sounds like a fun story and concept.

The script for the film was written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, (writers of New Line's comedy Horrible Bosses), with a story written by Tyler Mitchell and Chad Kultgen

What are your thoughts on on these two comedians starring in the same film together? Will it be a hit or miss?
