20th Century Fox recently set the release date for A Good Day to Die Hard for February 14th 2013. John Moore is set to direct, Bruce Willis will be back to kick some ass, and now they are on the hunt for an actor to take on the role of John McClane's son in the film. The fifth film in the Die Hard franchise will take John McClane on a international action adventure to Russia with his son, where the two characters get involved in a conflict with local forces.
According to Variety Willis is going to start reading with actors who may end up playing his son, and a list of these actors reading with him include Ben Foster (Pandorum), Paul Dano (There will be Blood), Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes) and Paul Walker (Fast Five). Out of those choices I think that Foster, Paul and Walker have the best shot at landing the role, because they have they seem to fit that action movie mode a little better than the others. Out of those three I would like to see Aaron Paul take it because I think he could be awesome. Whoever gets the role could possibly end up taking over the franchise.
Willis has a lot of control over this movie franchise, and it will be interesting to see who he ends up choosing to play his son. Both Dano and Foster have worked with Willis in other films, but who knows which actors are favored more that others.
Who would you like to see play John McClane's son based on the actors listed here?
