PACIFIC RIM release date shifted by Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. has given Guillermo del Toro's big-budget 3D action film, Pacific Rim, a new release date. Deadline reports that the  Legendary Pictures film will now be released on May 10, 2013, putting it at the head of the summer film pack. The initial release date was set for July 12, 2013. The cast includes Charlie Hunnam, Charlie Day and Idris Elba. Travis Beacham wrote the story that is set in the future where giant malevolent creatures threaten to destroy the earth, and the planet must band together and use advanced weapons technology to eradicate the growing threat. Filming is slated to begin next month.
