THOR 2 will Officially be Directed by Patty Jenkins

It's officially been confirmed by Marvel that Thor 2 will be directed by Monster director Patty Jenkins. When it was announced that she was at the top of Marvels list to direct the sequel, I was surprised because of the lack of experience in directing a film of this size. Thor 2 will continue the journey of Thor and Jane Foster, and how the new dynamic with his father is working out, as well as what are the broader stakes for The Nine Worlds. It's sure to be an epic story, and I hope to hell that Jenkins can pull it off. All we can do now is have faith that Marvel knows what there doing.

Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman will return to star in the film along with Tom Hiddleston and Anthony Hopkins. I imagine most of the orignal cast will be coming back. The film is schedule for release on Friday, November 15th 2013.
