Warner Bros. picks up THE ACCIDENTAL GENIUS for Robert Downey Jr.

Warner Bros may have found it's next project for Robert Downey Jr. Deadline reports that the studio has bought a pitch from Adam Gibgot titled The Accidental Genius for Downey Jr and Susan Downey’s Team Downey to produce with Ben Silverman’s Electus.

The drama focuses on "an ordinary man awakens from a coma with astonishing intelligence, and visions of a bizarre symbol recognized only by a burnt out prodigy. Together, the two men set out to solve a hundred year old mystery which could change the world." This type of situation, while rare, is a true medical condition in which a person emerges from a physical trauma with heightened mental abilities.

This sounds really cool. I like the concept and can see Downey playing this role. What are your thoughts?
