Warner Bros. to Show 8-Minutes of DARK KNIGHTS RISES with MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: GHOST PROTOCOL?
A rumor has just surfaced on the internet from our friends at /Film that Warner Bros. will be showing a 8-minute long prologue for Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated film The Dark Knight Rises, with Brad Bird's Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol in IMAX.
According to the report the news comes from "A trusted theater (read: exhibitor) source." It would be incredibly awesome if this turns out to be true! One might think that this could be false because the two movies come from two different studios, Mission Impossible is set up at Paramount, while The Dark Knight Rises is set up at Warner Bros., but one thing they do have in common is IMAX, so it would make sense that two big profile films like this could come together for an IMAX event. There's no doubt it will also entice fans to go watch the movie in IMAX, helping this fourth Mission Impossible at the box office.
I know I would pay to see 8-minutes of one the most highly anticipated films ever in IMAX. Mission Impossible 4 opens up in IMAX theaters on December 16th, and open up wide on December 21st so that will be your first chance to see some of the Dark Knight Rises in all its IMAX glory. I hope this turns out to be true.
Is this something you are excited about?
